The nomination period has now closed for the General Election being held next month, and six candidates have put themselves forward to be the MP for the new Rugby constituency. The candidates are:- Mark Badrick (BNP)
- Andy King (Labour)
- Barry Milford (UKIP)
- Mark Pawsey (Conservative)
- Jerry Roodhouse (Liberal Democrat)
- Roy Sandison (Green)
