Dan Essex: I was co-opted onto Shilton Parish Council in June 2006, elected for the first time in May 2008, and then re-elected in May 2012, as a local parish councillor for Shilton and Barnacle in Warwickshire. Since May 2012, I have been the Chairman of the parish council. This blog is my contribution to informing local people of what one of their parish councillors gets up to on their behalf, as well as trying to shed a bit more light on the world of local councils and politics in the area.
